Klepp municipality in Jæren is at the top of Vårt Land’s informal selection of Norway’s most Christian municipality.

Seljord ended up in second place and Ulstein in third.

According to Vårt Land, Klepp is at the top because the municipality has the most eager communion participants, some of the fullest church pews, and high membership in the Church of Norway.

“There is a very large Christian community in Klepp. In that sense, it is not surprising. In any case, it is incredibly nice when Klepp receives such recognition,” mayor Sigmund Rolfsen (AP) noted.

At the opposite end of the scale, i.e., those considered Norway’s least Christian municipalities, there are Nesseby, Lebesby, and Nesodden.
