Omicron infection has been confirmed among several of the participants at the Abelia conference in Oslo. Around 100 guests from five counties are now in quarantine.

Abelia is an employers’ organization in Norway, organized under the national Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise.

Corona infection has been confirmed among eleven participants, and the omicron variant has been detected in a couple of cases, Vestre Aker district chief medical officer Jorunn Thaulow told the newspaper VG.

“Infection has also been proven among several employees at Lysebu. We suspect these are also omicron cases,” she said.

Abelia arranged a conference at Lysebu in Oslo on November 29 and 30. About 100 guests from Viken, Oslo, Trøndelag, Nordland and Troms og Finnmark participated.

Participants at another conference at Lysebu have also been asked to test themselves for corona.
