A person has been found dead after a fire broke out in an apartment at Stovner in Oslo on Saturday night.

The firefighters found the deceased person after entering the apartment.

“The relatives have been notified,” operations manager Line Skott in the Oslo Police District told NTB.

At 4:00 AM, the police announced that the fire had been extinguished.

Around 30 people were evacuated from the nine-story apartment block in Tokerudberget. Some gathered in Fossum church, while others have received help to get other accommodation options.

One person inhaled some smoke and is being taken care of by health personnel. The police were notified of the fire after one o’clock on Saturday.
