Drop-in testing, own test stations at Filipstad and at the university are some of the measures Oslo Municipality is implementing to deal with the Corona virus.

Oslo citizens should be able to sign up for testing via an online form, said Health Councillor Robert Steen (Labour).

The municipality strengthens the capacity at the city’s fever clinics and will facilitate drop-in testing. A separate test center for students will be established in collaboration with the Student Association and a test center at Filipstad to test passengers arriving by ferry from abroad.

In addition, the municipality is reintroducing a scheme with patrols that can test people at home if they cannot get to a test site.

Steen announced that the municipality is already in the process of increasing the capacity of the Corona telephone service, both by hiring more people and opening more lines. This weekend there were many who did not get through on the phone.
