On Monday, the police in Tromsø will start investigating the outbreak of corona aboard the Hurtigruten ship MS Roald Amundsen.
-”We have seen what has happened and have discussed the case both on Saturday and Sunday.”, said the Police Attorney of the Troms Police District, Christian Hanssen, to NRK.
-”We are going to make an assessment if we will create a case. We will probably create an investigative case.”, he says.
On the basis of this, the police are assessing they are to start an investigation of criminal offence, such as violations of the Communicable Diseases Act.
Such violations can be punished with a fine or imprisonment.
A total of 40 people, 4 passengers and 36 crew, tested positive for the Coronavirus on Sunday after two voyages aboard the MS Roald Amundsen. Many of the 386 passengers are still waiting for their test results.
