A 32 year old, heavily pregnant woman was killed in Elverparken in Herlev, west of Copenhagen on Friday night, allegedly with a knife and an axe.
According to Ekstra Bladet, the woman, in the seventh month of pregnancy, was walking her sister’s dog when she was killed. Police believe that the murder occurred between 18.30 and 19:30 on Friday night.

Police said the slain woman had suffered multiple stab wounds, though according to Ekstra Bladet, she had received injuries consistent with an axe attack.

‘We face a bestial murder of a pregnant woman, and have no culprit’, said police spokesman, Hans Christian Tonnesen.

Police urge anyone who walked through the park during the relevant period to come forward, even those who didn’t see anything suspicious.

According to Ekstra Bladet, the murdered woman lived in Herlev, where she was working as a sales assistant of cosmetics in a shopping mall.

The newspaper reported that the police have identified a possible suspect, but no-one has yet been arrested in the case.
