A total of 23% of the new cases of coronavirus infection in Oslo in the first week after the City Council closed down large parts of the city again were among school students.

Most infections were among students in upper secondary and secondary school age.

City Council chief Raymond Johansen (AP) said he could not rule out stricter measures in primary schools, according to Aftenposten.

“We must first look at whether we can target measures to certain areas. We are looking very closely at that now.

“Where is the infection greatest? What measures can we implement in those areas?” he said.

Johansen added that a decision on whether the measures introduced on November 10 would be continued beyond December 1 would probably come on Thursday.
