Sweden’s state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell says that he thinks entry rules will remain in place for several years to come.

He stated that proof of vaccination could remain in use for a long time when it comes to travel.

“That requirement could last for several years,” Tegnell told the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

Sweden has abolished the vast majority of its corona restrictions but has chosen to keep its entry rules in place.

Non-Swedes from countries outside the EU and the EEA, as well as Switzerland, are denied entry. There are a number of exceptions to the rules.
