Police in Oslo have arrested ten people after a series of violent incidents in October. Each person is charged with severe bodily injury or contributing to it.
In late October the police in Oslo were called out to six serious incidents of violence during a period of eight days. Guns, broken bottles, knives and a machete were used during the episodes.
– The arrested persons are between the ages of 18 to 30, located in the area around Grønland and most of them are known to the police from before, says Scene Commander Tor Erik Hoøen from the Oslo police as told to NRK news.
He is heading up a special project group that was established to work with these violence cases.
The suspects are in custody, and one of them has recently had his arrest extended for an additional four weeks.
