A total of 204,000 employees in schools and kindergartens have received both doses of the corona vaccine. That amounts to 75%, a higher proportion than the average in the population.

As many as 92% of school and kindergarten employees have received the first dose, the National Institute of Public Health wrote on Friday.

The vaccination rate is the highest among upper secondary school teachers – as many as 96% have received the first dose, and 82% have received the second dose.

Vaccination coverage among school and kindergarten employees is highest in Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestfold og Telemark.

The situation changed rapidly in just a few weeks. On August 20, the Ministry of Education and Research stated that only 51.5% of people in this occupational group were fully vaccinated.
