Tromsø’s Nordlys newspaper gives report that two attorneys are detained in Nord- Troms district court and charged with alleged drug-crime offenses.
Troms district police gave scant information concerning the arrests, with a police spokesman only saying “I’ve no comment, other than that I can confirm that two people are being detained and charged with serious drug crimes.”
Nordlys reports that the two under arrest are both Tromsø lawyers, but police will neither confirm nor deny Nordlys’ report.
The two detainees have been appointed Bjørn Arild Langenes and Jan Christian Kvanvik as legal councilors, but Nordlys was unable to gain official comment from either office.
No further information was available at post.
