Trondheim: 82 new coronavirus cases registered in the last 24 hours

Trondheim Municipality has registered 82 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.

A total of 459 PCR tests were performed on Tuesday, Trondheim Municipality stated in a press release on Wednesday.

Most new cases have been registered among people in their 30s and 20s, with 19 and 17 newly infected people, respectively. Nine of the infected are under ten years old.

On Wednesday morning, seven patients with COVID-19 were admitted to St. Olav’s hospital in Trondheim. Two of the patients are in the intensive care unit – one of them is on a respirator.

So far, 24 corona-related deaths have been registered at St. Olav’s hospital.
