Update: 447 new corona cases registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 447 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway – 61 fewer than the average in the last seven days.

As of Friday, 4.9 million corona tests had been performed in Norway since February last year.

A total of 109,581 people tested positive, according to preliminary figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

A total of 1,142,793 people in Norway received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 304,512 people received the second dose.

On Thursday, 199 corona patients were hospitalized – 13 fewer than the day before.

A total of 735 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. It was not always possible to establish whether the patients have died of or with COVID-19.

A total of 60.4% of those who died reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, 16 deaths have been reported.
