The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that a Norwegian citizen has died in Marbella in Spain to the newspaper VG.

The newspaper quotes, among other things, the local newspaper Diario Sur, which writes that a Norwegian man was found dead on Thursday afternoon.

The Norwegian is said to have walked along the main coastal road in Marbella near Puerto Banus and been hit by a vehicle when he was attempting to cross the motorway just after 5 PM.

Ane Lunde at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told VG that they are providing consular assistance in the case.

“I can not comment directly on this matter, but consular assistance can differ. In general, it can be to establish contact with a funeral home, assist with help with repatriation, or interpreting assistance if the relatives do not know the language,” she said.

  1. I wish Norwegians to live peacefully in sunny Spain. But please be careful! During winter it is also cold in Spain!Sometimes there is no water! You have to buy gas somewhere. So you have to inquire the style of living in Spain before moving!Best wishes! Con mi carinoso saludo!
