The airline Wizz Air will close its base at Trondheim Airport Værnes. In the future, Wizz Air’s operations in Norway will be managed from Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

The information was confirmed by Wizz Air’s communications manager Andras Rado, according to Flysmart24.

Rado said that the planes of the Hungarian low-cost airline are being moved from Trondheim due to the travel restrictions that have been introduced in Norway, which has led to a further decrease in flights in the country.

According to Rado, the decision will not have any impact on the company’s investment in the domestic market in Norway.

“These changes have no effect on the routes, capacity, or the number of weekly departures,” Rado noted.
