In a new survey, as many as 65% of Norwegian respondents answered that they would mainly celebrate New Year’s Eve at home in their own home.

A total of 24% of the respondents answered “no” to the question of whether they would stay at home during the New Year’s Eve celebration, while the rest have not yet decided.

The proportion of those who said “no” to staying home on New Year’s Eve was highest in Oslo (35%) and Western Norway (28%), according to the survey Norwegian Corona Monitor by Opinion.

More people said “yes” than “no” to staying in their own home on New Year’s Eve in all age groups.

A total of 1,400 Norwegians participated in the survey.
