More and more people are using bank cards on Black Friday. Figures from Nets show a growth of 4.2% from last year, while the increase amounted to 8.5% for the whole week.

“That Black Week now starts the weekend before Black Friday, and it means that people go bargain hunting all week long.

“But it is clear that there is both money and energy left over to draw the card on the day itself, as it is still one of the busiest shopping days,” trade analyst Ardalan Fadai in Nets stated.

A survey ahead of the annual sales highpoint showed that fewer people planned to spend money on Black Friday itself than last year. The survey was conducted among just over a thousand Norwegians.
