Fire in an apartment building in Oslo

Large forces from the fire brigade pulled out Saturday morning to a fire in an apartment building on Skillebekk in Oslo. The building was evacuated.

Both police and Oslo Fire and Rescue Department notified the fire in Gabels street just before at 9:30 Saturday morning. The first reports were of large amounts of smoke   soming from an apartment on the sixth floor of the apartment building. When emergency services arrived, it was stated that there was a fire.

– Three fire engines have arrived. There is smoke in the apartment on the sixth floor. We banged the door open. Smoke divers are inside, tthe smoke is thickening, the fire department wrote on Twitter.

No residents in the building  are said to have been injured in the fire, but all were evacuated, according to the police. After a short time h firefighters  had dampened the flames, but had to break  the floor open to extinguish the flames fully.
