Norway has been without an ambassador from the United States for nearly two and a half years. Now, the Senate finally approved the nomination of Sam Heins as the new envoy to Oslo.
“It is gratifying that the US Senate has approved the nomination of Sam Heins as the new US Ambassador to Norway,” writes Foreign Minister Brende (H) on Twitter.
“Welcome to Oslo,” he writes. It is nice that we get a new ambassador in Oslo Now after two years. But the fact that we have been without an ambassador so long has not damaged relations between the US and Norway, says Brende to news channel said.
