The Ekeberg restaurant and Grand Café are among the Oslo restaurants that will reopen in the next few days, even though it is still not allowed to serve alcohol in Norway.

“We hope and believe we will be able to serve alcohol at the end of next week,” Bjørn Tore Furset, who owns and operates the Furset group, told the newspaper Avisa Oslo.

This week, the restaurant group Grand Café and the Ekeberg restaurant will open, and next week, they aim to open all the other restaurants they run, including Maaemo, The Vandelay, Grilleriet, Lofoten fish restaurant, Sjømatmagasinet, and Ling Ling.

The Furset group chose to use the wage support scheme and therefore has kept on their all employees.
