Six corona-patients are hospitalized at the Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen

A child with coronavirus has been receiving intensive care at Haukeland University Hospital on Sunday.

The hospital stated the information on its website.

The Bergen Hospital Trust (Helse Bergen) could not provide further information about the child, press officer Ragnhild Dårflot Olsen at Helse Bergen told newspaper VG.

An elderly person and an adult person were also admitted to the intensive care unit. There are a total of six corona patients at Haukeland University Hospital.

Between Saturday and Sunday, 24 new coronavirus cases were registered in Bergen. Four have an unknown route of transmission, while five have an uncertain route of transmission, the Municipality stated on its website.

There is one child under the age of 6 and four children aged 6 to 12 years among those infected. One of the infected is in his 70s, while one is in his 80s.

Bergen has, so far in the pandemic, registered 5,158 corona cases.
