The number of Swedes applying for Norwegian citizenship has increased by more than 3,000% since January 2020.

More than 80,000 people have applied for Norwegian citizenship since a change in the law made it possible to apply for dual citizenship in January 2020, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) writes.

Almost 10% of the applicants are Swedes, according to figures from the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).

Between January 2020 and June 2021, 8173 Swedes applied for Norwegian citizenship. In comparison, 261 Swedes applied the year before.

“Swedes make up the largest group of applicants. That’s a huge change. Many had probably waited a long time for the change in the law,” Øystein Tonstad Leknes, unit manager in the residence department at the UDI, told NRK.

  1. With Sweden’s political establishment government unable – ideologically gridlocked into being unwilling – to deal with coronavirus and the clan mafiya gangs it let into the country and which are now running major Swedish cities, this is entirely understandable.

The smartest Swedes emigrated to America in the 1800s. What will be left after the smart ones still there now leave?

And Sweden … like Norway … *had* the perfect society it seemed.

If any beautiful Swedish girl needs a place to find sanctuary in Norway …. 🙂
