Arts Council Norway has allocated NOK 26.9 million to 227 music projects across the country.

Several of the music schemes have adapted their guidelines to stimulate greater diversity among the applicants.

Around 45 of the awarded projects in this round are aimed at children and young people, the Arts Council stated.

“We want a greater diversity among the applicants, especially when it comes to audience groups,” said leader of the music committee for organizer and festival support Jan Ole Otnæs.

In total, grants have been given for more than 1,350 concerts throughout the country and abroad.
