With King, Queen and immediate family in attendance, the Christian Confirmation of Prince Sverre Magnus took place in Asker church on Saturday afternoon.
With restrictions on how many guests could be present in the church, the prince, like his 9 fellow hopefuls, was only allowed 16 of his closest relatives to be in attendance when the confirmation service began.
In addition to his grandparents, King Harald and Queen Sonja, his parents, siblings, Aunt Princess Märtha, and cousin Leah Isadora Behn were among the guests. When the royal guests arrived at the church, they were welcomed by the Praeses of the Church of Norway, Olav Fykse Tveit. It was obvious that infection control measures were in place.
Parish priest of Asker Karoline Astrup Asker welcomed all 200 attendees in the church
– Welcome all. We are gathered in celebration, for a confirmation. Together we will celebrate this service. This is your day and we will pray for each and every one of you, she said.
