In June, Crown Princess Mette-Marit will depart for the for the third time on a very personal train journey, where she will alongside others share book experiences with people.

Under the motto “There is a book for all”, the train tour will begin in Bergen this year. The event will begin at Litteraturhuset in Bergen on Wednesday 1 June. Afterwards, the train will leave the station and chug eastwards on a two day journey.
On Friday, it will arrive in the capital Oslo for a final event at the House of Literature .
The train will stop at  Voss, Gol and Hønefoss stations. The authors participating this year include Lars Saabye Christensen, Agnes Ravatn, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, and Geir Gulliksen. The new biographer Kim Friele will also be included.
Princess Mette-Marit urges a broad discussion about literature and the diligent reading of social media. This will be the third time the crown princess embarks on this book train. The first train went from Bodo to Stjørdal in 2014 and the second from Trondheim to Hamar in 2015.
