In September the  agricultural exhibition will celebrate its 150 years anniversary. The EAT-president Gunhild Stordalen and Crown Prince and Princess have agreed to come.

Dyrsku’n is hoping for 100,000 visitors this year, and will probably get a helping hand from the many famous names on the guest list. In addition to Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Gunhild Stordalen, Labor leader Jonas Gahr Støre and Hellbillies have accepted the invitation.
Organizers are particularly pleased that the Crown Prince couple will attend the opening on September 9. EAT and Gunhild Stordalen will hold a conference on the same day about how Norwegian farmers in coming years could lead sustainable food production and strengthen food and agriculture initiative. Stordalen and the royals know each other well and in June, Crown Princess Mette-Marit lead a debate on EAT conference in Stockholm.
Dyrsku’n was started by the Swedish  State Agronomist Johan Lindquist in Seljord in 1866. The aim was to start  a more systematic breeding of cows he had observed on his many travels in Telemark. Today, the exhibition gets both exhibitors and visitors from large parts of Norway and this year there will be around 700 stands.
