Magne Furuholmen will be the new Chairman of the Bergen- Festival
Musician and visual artist Magne Furuholmen will be the new Chairman of the Bergen International -Festival. – An honorable mission and a prestigious national responsibility, says Furuholmen.
– My task as Chairman is to facilitate further development of the festival’s outreach profile and build on the good work that the administration and former chairmen have done, says the new chairman.
Furuholmen, best known from Aha, will be the chairman for the period 2016-2019. He takes over the job after Åse Kleveland.
– Bergen International Festival is a powerhouse in the Norwegian art and cultural life, and I am glad that one of the leading and most versatile artists have agreed to undertake the important chairmanship, Culture Minister Linda Hofstad Helleland. said
