18-year-old Maud Angelica Behn, daughter of the Norwegian Princess Märtha Louise, will make her debut as a poet and illustrator when she publishes the book “Threads of Tears” in October.

Maud Angelica Behn, daughter of Princess Märtha Louise and multi-artist Ari Behn, will make her book debut on October 20th.

She is set to publish the book Threads of Tears (in Norwegian: Tråder av tårer), a story about a girl who knits threads of tears.

“This is an unusual debut from an 18-year-old. Maud has a very special ability to create unusual combinations of words, and in that way say things that give us new thoughts,” said publisher Arve Juritzen.

He says that the book is for both adults and children, and that it can lead to exciting conversations about dealing with difficult experiences.

For her openness about mental illness and suicide, Maud Angelica was, among other things, awarded the Acute Psychiatry Prize for 2020.
