The new streaming service Britbox, owned by the British TV giants BBC and ITV, will start operating in Norway and the Nordic countries on Thursday, April 28.

The service will have to compete with Netflix, HBO, and the other streaming services on the Norwegian market.

Britbox will offer the best of the BBC and ITV’s rich program archives, including viewer favorites such as “Peaky Blinders,” “Vera,” “Midsomer Murders,” and “The Office.”

In addition, new drama series are being produced exclusively for the service.
