While Sweden had major starting problems, Norway’s KEiiNO delivered a solid first result ahead of Thursday’s semifinal in the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.

The Norwegian group continues as performance number 15 of 18.

Swedish John Lundvik is one of the biggest favourites in this year’s competition. He had the start of his performance postponed by between five and ten minutes because of what seemed to be technical issues with the stage, but still managed to deliver a ‘compelling’ performance.

The video for the Norwegian song “Spirit in the Sky” is the fifth most viewed of the Eurovision songs on YouTube. Similarly, it’s number six on Spotify. And in a vote among the Grand Prix clubs, the Norwegian contribution came in fourth.

KEiiNO consists of Hermansen by Fred Buljo and Alexandra Rotan.
