Norway’s favorite holiday drink, “Julebrus”, is now available in stores for the season

A favorite amongst many, the Norwegian Christmas soda – “Julebrus” – is finally available in shops all over the country.

Last week, the Norwegian holiday favorite Christmas soda was delivered to shops all over the country. For some people, it’s perhaps a little too early, while for others it’s not early enough.

There is great interest in the Christmas soda, which has its own fan pages on Facebook. Hamar and Lillehammer Christmas soda alone has 62,000 members, and the interest is just as great for Dahl’s Christmas soda in Trøndelag. Others prefer the red Christmas soda from Ringnes.

“You do not mess around with Norwegian people’s Christmas soda. It should taste the same every year and looks like it always has.

“For many, it is just as important a part of the Christmas table as pork ribs and lamb chops.

“It is the taste of Christmas,” communications manager Nicolay Bruusgaard in Ringnes said in a press release.
