Norway’s largest drive-in cinema will be at Tryvann parking lot in Oslo this Easter. Three films will be shown every night.
A 100 square meters LED screen will be set up in the parking lot and the sound transmitted directly to the car radio through the FM network.
The event is organised by Frogner cinema and the EIK Group, which plans to present three performances daily through Easter. The programme line-up has yet to be confirmed.
“It is important that we offer something for different tastes. We aim for three performances a day, one for children, one for the family and one for adults. The programme features both new and old films,” said Jan Vardøen, who owns Frogner cinema.
There is also a drive-in cinema inside the Telenor Arena with four daily performances between Tuesday, April 7 and Monday, April 14. The drive-in can accommodate 100 cars per show.
