Norwegian Crown Prince and Princess to visit Sweden in May

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will visit Sweden on an official visit in May, taking the sights in of both Gothenburg and Stockholm.

Official State Visit

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit are to visit Stockholm and Gothenburg in May as part of an official visit to Sweden. The visit, from May 2-4, is part of a business and culture trip and the Royal Couple will be accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre (AP).

The visit is part of a plan to help strengthen both cultural and business ties between Sweden and Norway and is hosted by Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel. In a press release, the government wrote that the focus of the trip will be that future value creation needs to be more sustainable and knowledge-based.

During the trip, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will visit the Kulturhuset in Stockholm, participate in a meeting for Swedish and Norwegian children and young people’s literature and also visit Space Cultural Center focusing on coding and music.
