Crown Princess Mette-Marit was present when the School of Architecture and Design in Oslo rounded off its 75th anniversary at Oslo City Hall.

On November 12, the school, which was founded in 1945, celebrated its 75th anniversary.

“We look forward to finally marking the anniversary properly with everyone who wants to celebrate with us,” principal Ole Gustavsen said to the school’s website ahead of the party.

A series of anniversary lectures was rounded off with a celebration in Oslo City Hall. Along with 400 guests, Crown Princess Mette-Marit was also present.

She was received by Oslo’s Deputy Mayor Abdullah Alsabeehg (Labor Party) and heard speeches from Rector Ole Gustavsen and Chairman of the Board Lisa Cooper. There was also a speech by Marianne Skjulhaug, dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at NTNU.

The anniversary celebration has taken place since last fall. For those who could handle more festivities, the last thing on the agenda was an after-party at the School of Architecture and Design.
