“Do Not Split,” directed by Norway’s Anders Hammer, has been nominated for an Oscar for the best short documentary.

The documentary is about the Hong Kong protests and is one of five short documentaries nominated for an Oscar.

The film draws attention to, among other things, how freedom of expression and freedom of the press are threatened in Hong Kong.

The film was made in collaboration with the American film company Field of Vision and has received support from Fritt Ord and Viken Filmsenter.

The short documentary will compete against the documentaries “Collette,” “A Concerto Is A Conversation,” “Hunger Ward,” and “A Love Song For Latasha.”

The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on April 25.
