Norwegian Post puts royal jubilees on new stamps
Both King Harald and Queen Sonja will be present when the Norwegian Post launches four new stamp series with royal jubilees on Friday.
King Haakon, King Harald, Queen Sonja, and Princess Ingrid Alexandra have been portrayed by Trond Bredesen for the new stamps, the Norwegian Post announced.
The stamps mark 150 years since King Haakon was born, the Royal Couple’s 85 years, and Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s coming of age.
King Haakon is illustrated in the army’s general uniform that he wore in 1940, while the other three royals are drawn in casual attire and with stronger colors.
The royal stamps, printed in a total circulation of seven million, will be on sale from April 22. They can be used on ordinary letters up to 20 grams or 50 grams.
