NRK broadcasts concert in support of victims of the war in Ukraine

Norwegians have raised more than NOK 75 million for the victims of war in Ukraine thanks to a fundraising concert. The support concert, broadcast on NRK on March 7, featured artists including Trygve Skaug, Kyrkjebø, Jarle Bernhoft, and Maria Mena.

The money is to be distributed between the Red Cross, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Save the Children, Caritas, and Norwegian Church Aid. These organizations are working directly with Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion and Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries.

The general secretaries of the aid organizations released a statement saying that it was fantastic to see the support given by Norwegians to those affected by the war in Ukraine. They also reminded people it is still not too late to donate. Donations can be made by Vipps using the number “2170.”
