OSLO – Korketrekkeren is now open

The snow came late this winter, but Oslo’s most popular toboggan run is finally open for the season.
Korktrekkeren starts at Frognerseteren and ends at Midtstuen metro station. The run is two kilometres long, and the elevation drop is 255 metres. One non-stop ride takes about ten minutes, and the metro from Midtstuen to Frognerseteren takes you back to the top in 13 minutes.
Sled and equipment rental is available from Skiservice and Akeforeningen and costs approx. 80-150 NOK per person. Akeforeningen’s place is located by the parking lot below Frognerseteren café, and Skiservice is found 100 metres below Frognerseteren station. It is also possible to use your own sled, and use of Korketrekkeren is free. READ MORE about OSLO – Korketrekkeren is now open
