The police in Finnmark have received two reports of rape after the festival Midnattsrocken ended in Lakselv this weekend.
– “The accused in both cases have been questioned and arrested. The accused have been released after questioning. The victims were also questioned in both cases,” says acting sheriff in Porsanger, Siri Ulverud, to iFinnmark.
The assaults occurred between Friday and Sunday, but the police do not want to go into detail with gender and age due to the investigation and witness statements are still ongoing.
In addition to the two rape reports, the police are also investigating a few violent cases and a report for sexually abusive behavior.
“We have not questioned those witnesses and can not say anything about those cases,” says Ulverud.
