Politicians top the list of most media reports

Norwegian and international politicians have been the most talked about people in the Norwegian media so far this year.

This shows figures from the analysis agency Retriever from January to July 2020, writes Medier24.

Last year, Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) topped the list – both after the first half of the year and at the end of the year. The same applies after the first seven months of 2020, according to the analysis.

After Solberg, US President Donald Trump is the most talked about politician, and in third place is Minister of Health, Bent Høie (H).

– The list usually consists of Norwegian and international politicians and sports profiles, which is also the case this time, says Retriever’s head of analysis Sigmund Wøien to the newspaper.

He adds that it comes as no surprise that the Corona situation characterises the mention of several of the people on the list.
