In connection with the birthday of Princess Ingrid Alexandra on  Thursday, new official photos of her were made public on Wednesday.
The princess is second in line to the throne, after Crown Prince Haakon and is well underway in being prepared and trained for her future duties. Despite her young age, she is no stranger to public appearances.  On Sunday she moved her entire family to tears when she calmly and confidently read the poem “To be in the life” of Halldis Moren Vesaas. This took place during the gala performance on the occasion of the royal couple’s 25th anniversary.
Six years ago, only five years old did Princess Ingrid Alexandra greeted people on the royal household child pages in a video where she and King Harald participated. It was the first time she spoke publicly. Since then it  has been posted several videos where the Crown Princess have taken part.
When she was six years she was a proud bridesmaid in the wedding of her godmother, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, and this was like an international debut to her.
The princess attends sixth grade at Oslo International School at Bekkestua, she loves music and plays the piano. But in her everyday life, she also has official missions, when she in February will ignite the Olympic Flame at the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympics in Lillehammer. On 19. May, she will open the Princess Ingrid Alexandra sculpture park in the Castle Park, where students from the three northernmost counties have designed the sculptures.
