Record number of people visiting Vigeland Museum this summer
19,000 persons visited Håkon Anton Fagerås exhibition, making it the most visited exhibition in the Vigeland Museum in ten years.
– I think the audience wanted to see classical figurative sculpture at a high level, says museum manager Jarle Strømodden.
– Fagerås is an artist who works in a century-long tradition, but thematically placing the works of his contemporaries. He has an understanding of materials that get in his generation surpasses.
The exhibition with sculptor from Fagerås became an audience success. During the summer months, this was seen by over 19,000 visitors. An exhibition has not been so well attended since 2007 when the museum showed works from Skule Waksvik.
The works of Håkon Anton Fagerås were shown in period June 3rd – September 18th.
