First ever snow sports world championships for paralympic athletes

The first-ever edition of the World Para Snow Sports Championships will have a royal touch as Crown Prince Håkon and Princess Märtha Louise will visit on January 13.

They will follow both the downhill ski events at Hafjell and the cross country events at Birkebeineren ski stadium, whilst also handing out prizes and meeting volunteers.

This is the first edition ever held by the International Paralympic Committee and the second time that a major snow sports tournament has been held in Lillehammer after the 1994 Winter Olympics.
