The majority of the Methodist Church annual conference voted for the inclusion of gays and lesbians in the church.

At the same time, the majority voted to include those who are dissatisfied with the new road vote wrote Vårt Land newspaper.

‘’I am proud that we have been given a worthy conversation and process where everyone experiences being heard’’ said Rector, Marie Ø. Movafagh of the Methodist Church’s Theological Seminar.

In February, the United Methodist Church, which The Norwegian Methodist Church belongs to, voted against same-sex marriage.

It has created a debate in the Methodist Church about the election vote further.

The annual conference has voted to create a committee that will answer the question “what is needed for the Methodist Church in Norway to be able to live with a fully inclusive view of human sexuality”.
