Tons of Rock is moving to Oslo

The rock and metal festival’s new home is Ekebergsletta, which will host Tons of Rock for the first time 27–29 June 2019. The festival is moving from Halden, where the organisers’ quickly realised their ambition: to create the rock and metal crowd’s favourite festival.

Big names such as Black Sabbath, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Ghost, Volbeat, Satyricon and Megadeth have played at Tons of Rock, recently voted Festival of the Year by Norwegian concert organisers. The bookings for 2019 are not ready yet, but there is every reason to expect some of the world’s biggest rock and metal acts to show up.
