A new report shows that 10% of all registered students now choose flexible study offers instead of campus-based study offers.

A record number of students ais taking online education.

“We see that the need for flexible education is increasing. Many want to study where they live and combine education with work and family. This is a necessary development,” Minister of Research and Higher Education Ola Borten Moe (Sp) stated in a press release.

The report shows that there is a great demand for flexible study offers. Last year, there were just over 29,400 students in flexible education, an increase of 13% from the previous year.

Online offers are responsible for the registered increase. The increase in online studies is also reflected in the spring number of applicants.
