In just over a week with voluntary Corona tests for arriving passengers at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, only 10 of 3,000 passengers have tested positive.

This means that the tests do not show any frequency of imported infections via the airport, writes Flysmart24.

Ullensaker municipality is responsible for the tests, as the host municipality for the airport. The test stations were set up on Thursday, August 12, in a collaboration with Avinor and the Norwegian Directorate of Health. The tests are free and voluntary for arriving passengers. Just over 10-12 percent of arrivals from abroad volunteer to be tested, according to figures from the Municipal Chief Physician, Tom Sundar, of Ullensaker Municipality.

-”This gives a useful indication of how big the problem of imported infections are.”, says Sundar.

About 15 percent of those who take the test are foreign nationals, both tourists and guest workers.
