100,000 people are expected to attend when the Brazilian city of Chapeco will have a memorial ceremony of dead athletes who passed away on a tragic airline accident in Colombia on Saturday.

71 people, among them a large part of the Brazilian football team chapecoense, were killed when a plane crashed near the town of Medellin in Colombia.

The Brazilian team was heading into a crucial match at Copa Sudamericana when the accident occurred.

On Saturday, there will be a big memorial ceremony for them in their hometown.

Probably about 100,000 participants, around half of the population in Chapeco, will be in there in the ceremony.

The memorial will be in Conda Arena, the football stadium where chapecoense play their home games.
