At midnight, 11,231 corona-infected people were registered in this country, preliminary figures show. This is an increase of 111 reported cases in the last 24 hours.

In the last two days, the increase is by 197 reported cases, according to figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

On average, it takes one to two days from the time a test results are available until it is registered in MSIS. The figures can thus give a misleading picture of the infection situation in recent days, since it does not appear when the sample is taken – only when it is registered.

A total of 16 people are being treated in hospitals for Covid-19 disease. On Friday, 264 deaths were registered as a result of the disease.
