117 new Coronavirus infections registered in the last 24 hours

At midnight Wednesday, 12,393 Coronavirus infected people were registered in Norway, preliminary figures show. This is an increase of 117 cases in the last 24 hours.

The increase is on par with the previous day when 122 new cases were registered. In total, the increase in the last two days is 239 reported cases, according to figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

Nearly 900,000 tests for Coronavirus have so far been carried out in Norway, according to the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

18 Coronavirus patients were admitted to Norwegian hospitals on Tuesday, three fewer than on Monday. None of the Coronavirus patients are receiving treatment with a respirator.

A total of 265 people have now died as a result of the pandemic in Norway. According to FHI, it is not always possible to determine whether a person has died of or with Covid-19.
